Jeanette BS, RVTg, Practice Manager
Jeanette is a Registered Veterinary Technologist and has been in the field for over 23 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Cal Poly Pomona in 1999 and her RVTg license in 2000. Jeanette has experience in general practice, avian and exotic medicine, ophthalmology and taught veterinary technology for 7 years. She plans to complete her Master’s in Business and looks forward to becoming a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. When not at work, Jeanette spends quality time with her son Nathan, her partner Jaclyn, and their dog Ginger. Jeanette also shares her time with several of her turtles and tortoises, crested geckos, bearded dragon and tarantulas.
Berenice, Front Desk Supervisor, Vet Assistant
With over ten years of working at La Palma Veterinary Hospital, Berenice continues to show her love and fascination with animals! Her goal is to one day get her RVT License. Berenice has 3 fur babies named Cookie, Betty and Ella that she loves very much. That’s not all…animals aren’t Berenice’s only interest. During her spare time, she also does makeup, she’s a makeup enthusiast!!! And let’s not forget she’s a Selena fan.
Cecilia, Customer Service Representative
Growing up, Cecilia has always been fond of animals, even to this day. She has had several pets from your average dog and cat to tarantulas and Iguanas. A vegetarian for 10 years and became a Vegan when she started working here at La Palma Veterinary Hospital. She is against all forms of cruelty; she stands by both animals and mankind. Cecilia’s hobbies are concerts, practices Reiki, playing piano, painting, reading, also loves to spend time in nature and loves going on road trips. Cecilia’s goals are to keep working with animals and to learn all she can in the veterinary field.
Yessica, Vet Assistant
Yessica grew up surrounded by animals. Growing up she helped her grandma feed and take care of her farm animals. That’s where her passion for animals began. She’s helped rescue and foster animals. Yessica is very adventurous and loves the outdoors.
MJ, Vet Assistant
Moving recently from Imperial Valley, MJ has had a passion for animals and their well-being since she was a young girl. She has volunteered at numerous shelters and has officially been working in the veterinary field since 2015. When she's not at La Palma, MJ is attending concerts, going to Disneyland, and enjoying fire memes. She has a very good boy named Chance and even though she adopted him, he is the one that rescued her. ♥ "Saving one animal won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal."
Alejandro, Vet Assistant
When Alejandro isn’t working hard at the hospital, he’s studying rigorously to achieve his goal of becoming a veterinary technician! Those aren’t the only things that Alejandro likes to work hard in, he’s also very active during his free time. He’s no stranger to the gym and also loves to play sports like soccer and skateboard. The list doesn’t end there, he’s also an avid guitar player. Alejandro truly is the most interesting man in the world!
